Underthings Street Style: Peek-Through Lace!

I was quickly browsing through some blogs I follow and these two photos stood out to me because of this lace top post I wrote last month. I love that both ladies are wearing high-waisted bottoms to create a certain silhouette with their slightly flowy lace tops, and the end result is stylish, not skanky. With all the great long-sleeve lace tops out this fall, it's a trend you can still carry into the colder months (just remember to bundle up if you go outside!).

Underthings Street Style: Karla of Karla's Closet

I'm finally caught up on at least 3 months worth of my blog reader now, and I just saw this wonderful post on Karla's Closet. She used an American Apparel sash to create a bandeau top! I love the criss-cross detail the wrapping creates in the back.

Underthings Street Style: Hanneli Mustaparta

I've been really loving this photo of Hanneli Mustaparta by Mr. Newton taken during NYFW on her way to the Marc show. I giggled a little at the comments of people saying, "I'm not a fan of showing my bra..." "She shouldn't be showing her bra..." and loved Mr. Newton's response: 


"Well it was a really nice bra with semi-sheer leopard print cups and it was meant to very much be a part of the outfit. Here you really only see the bra strap – but in person the way it complemented her outfit was apparent."


I also loved how much it reminded me of Carrie Bradshaw in Sex and the City—she always had her bra peeking somehow and it always looked perfectly intentional.

Underthings Street Style: Rachel from That's Chic

I love this summer-to-fall look Rachel of That's Chic put together with an Urban Outfitters corset as her top, perfectly paired with a skirt worn high on the waist. The drapey shirt she wears over the corset adds a touch of modesty but lets the innerwear peek through. It looks great on her, and if it wasn't getting so chilly in NYC already, it'd definitely be a look to copy!

Underthings Exposed at NYFW: Street Style

Whoa, check out this chick who let it all peek through! Not quite sure who she is with the shades on—I suspect a model—but that draped leather jacket is pretty perfect too.
