An Outfit: The New (& More Fun) Bustier.

Bustiers need a lil' love. I think we've all become so accustomed to thinking of these as soon as we hear or read "bustier". But we should start thinking of ones like this Kiki de Montparnasse one, that we can lovingly wear as tops and make really, really fun outfits from! I'd love to wear this outfit this weekend—if only I had that bustier, Hurricane Irene be damned.

Kiki de Montparnasse floral lace bustier, $260. Available at Net-A-Porter.com.

Fashion Friday: Rag & Bone's Artist Series

Something a little different for you guys and gals this Friday! ELLE had a really interesting post yesterday about one of Rag & Bone's newest art projects, a series of canvases that they commissioned Parsons grad Lana Chun to sketch on. The video below shows her process and the mixed media she uses for these drawings, which was gorgeously shot and edited by my friend Fred Lee.

The subject of the canvases? According to ELLE, "Looks inspired by their SS11 collection—specifically the complicated underpinnings that served as the foundation for their mountain climber meets beach babe collection..." "Complicated underpinnings"??? Hell to the yes!

I'm really stoked about RTW designers bringing out lingerie pieces in their collections, like the Proenza Schouler bra and the Rag & Bone set I recently posted on Facebook, and seeing accompanying art projects like these canvases just feel like the icing on the cake.

Check out Fred's blog & his amazing work.
