ARI DEIN Fall/Winter 2012 NYFW Presentation

I had the pleasure of attending ARI DEIN's Fall/Wintter 2012 presentation for NYFW last night at Cellar Bar (Bryant Park Hotel), and it was pretty amazing. The location couldn't have been more perfect—Cellar Bar has a really dramatic medieval-esque design to it, and combine that with mood lighting and a LIVE opera singer? Well, as my boyfriend so astutely summarized, "It's kind of like that scene in Taken."

Great movie, but definitely no virgin trafficking going on here. Just an incredibly expanded offering of Ari's classic silk pieces. There's new bralette designs, reworked robes and ready-to-wear! Including a bodysuit! There's some new cuts and details for F/W '12 but the feeling of contemporary luxury is still there. It's classic without being stuffy, yet still appeals to all age ranges. It's magic.

P.S. Boyfriend, I want a set of those pajamas. Or the printed top on the second photo, on the second model from the right. Kthxbye.

An LBL is Always, Always Right

Stella McCartney Florence Acting Underwire Bra & French Knickers

LBL: Little Black Lingerie. Honestly, you really can't go wrong with black lingerie. Especially when it's in the form of this lacy set from Stella McCartney. I may or may not have silently freaked out when I saw this the other week (really, my internal monologue was something like this: "OMGOMGOMGOMG WHYYYYYY IS IT SO PRETTYYYYY") and I haven't been able to get it out of my head ever since.

Gentlemen, if you're reading this particular post, Valentine's Day lingerie gifts are not limited to red and pink, nor outrageously sexy and borderline inappropriate for life in general. Black lingerie may seem ordinary, but LBL's as stylish and classy as this one are a bound to be the perfect gift. Boom.

Hump Day Pick: A Pre-Valentine's Tease

Mimi Holliday Frappe Lace and Silk-Satin Bra & Briefs

I saw this set on at least the first four websites I browsed while looking for items to include in the gift guides I have coming up, and of course I couldn't resist posting this one on it's own. IT'S JUST SO PRETTTTYYYYYY. Y'all know I'm a sucker for Mimi Holliday's plunge bras, and the eyelash lace detail in this set is just to die for. Can you imagine that lace fanning out on your fanny? Bee-yoo-ti-ful. Make sure you do your hamstring exercises to tone and lift your bootay for these gorgeous undies.

Hello, Sweet Weekend

Good morning, lingerie lovers! I just took an incredibly hard studio cycling class at the gym and of course, I thought the perfect way to shift gears (hehe) in my morning would be to browse what's new on And I'm so glad I did. I'm totally dying for this gorgeous ivory Eberjey set with bone lace trim.

I suppose it could be bridal, but I think it's more Snow Queen than trousseau. Perfect for fall, even more perfect for winter. Picture it: this Eberjey set under a gorgeous robe, snuggling in front of a fireplace. ...Or just under an amazeballs sweater dress and keep it your secret from the rest of the world.

Happy Holidays & Thank You!

I just wanted to say a huge thank you to all of you! When I started this blog just a few months ago, I never imagined that things would pick up so quickly. But it's allowed me to meet some really amazing people who have been so supportive and who want to be a part of it, for which I am so thankful. I'm so surprised every day when I see new followers on Google, Twitter and new fans on Facebook. You are all so wonderful, and I appreciate every single one of you.

Starting in January, I have some tweaks planned for the blog content-wise, which you'll see soon. There will also be a few opportunities for advertising/sponsorships for designers/boutiques who are interested. And as always, if you have any suggestions, questions, or thoughts on what type of posts you'd like to see in the future, let me know.

I'll be on vacation from December 24th til the new year, so I'll see you again in 2011. I'm looking forward to hearing what pretty little underthings you all receive from Santa!

Say Hi to Thursday: BTS Lingerie Well Played Cardigan & Lounge Pants

Say Hi to Thursday, a special day of the week when there's only one more work day before a glorious weekend awaits. Pretty Little Underthings will showcase a weekend-perfect piece we'd love to wear.

Well Played Cardigan and Lounge Pants by Between The Sheets Lingerie
I got the most delightful surprise in the mail last week: Layla L'obatti of Between The Sheets Lingerie sent me an amazing gift, a cardigan and lounge pants from her Well Played collection, as well as a Come Out and Play camisole (not pictured).

Since it's made of a 88% modal & 12% lycra blend, it keeps a really nice shape. It basically molds to your body and doesn't stretch out more than that. No elastic at the waistband, just a nice little grosgrain ribbon tie, which means no muffin top (yay!). The cardigan is so comfortable and so versatile—I wore it to run errands this weekend, as well as to yoga class, and I could wear this over sleeveless dresses to work.

I don't know how she read my mind—with the temperature dropping below the 30's lately, my apartment has been FREEZING. The thought of wearing my Hanes sweatpants that I've had since college (shameless confession) was just so depressing, but then this little set came my way and saved me!

Ladies, you all need this set. If anything, at least the cardigan—it'll become a staple for your weekend wardrobe. I'll be wearing this all weekend for sure.

UPDATE: My Curveball Bustier's Gettin' a New Closure!

Maayan from The Lake and Stars emailed me back! She sent her sincere apologies and said they've upgraded their closures since last season, so if I send it over to them, they'll replace the hardware!

I know it's just Maayan and Nikki over there and they're working hard to make sure all of their fans are happy. Ladies—you won me over with that bustier, but now you've won me over for life!

Forever yours,

P.S. Go check out their super-cute display this week at Barney's New York!
