Snuggle Buddies for the Impending Winter

I don't know about anyone else, but I felt like us NYC-ers were enjoying a pretty nice Indian Summer well through October until Hurricane Sandy hit. Now it's freeeezing (not to mention the bizarre snowstorm the other week), and all I can do is stare at my closet and lament the lack of cuddly sweaters and cozy things to wear while I freeze in my room (I'm in a corner unit so two walls exposed to the wild Manhattan winds).

Thus the idea for this post was born: pajammies and robes and comfy knit things to snuggle up in this winter. Well, at least things I'd want to wear while curled up in my bed catching up Elle, Hearst, Vogue, Harper's Bazaar and W that I haven't caught up on since September issues—many of which I have yet to dig into... like, I'm making some progress but c'mon guys, I could use those September issues as weights.

Say Hi to Thursday: BTS Lingerie Well Played Cardigan & Yoga Pants

Say Hi to Thursday, a special day of the week when there's only one more work day before a glorious weekend awaits. Pretty Little Underthings will showcase a weekend-perfect piece we'd love to wear.

Well Played Cardigan and Yoga Pants by Between The Sheets Lingerie
I have a confession to make: I'm totally addicted to the amazingly soft modal/lycra blend that BTS Lingerie uses for their loungewear. I have this cardigan in shade, thanks to Layla of BTS Lingerie (and yes, I posted it before), but I couldn't help but post it again, in this über-pretty champagne peachy pink. It's a perfect hue for spring, and it's such a soft, classy color. During the BTS Press Preview, Layla showed me this color and I kept going back to it. I think even my mom would like it! Right mom? I know you're reading this!

Anyway, I loved BTS' lovely yoga pants as well, with a foldover waistband to hide a bit of tummy if you have one. Since the cardigan hits right at the hipline in the back (though slightly longer in the front), these pants are perfect to with it since you can fold the waist a bit higher to avoid inadvertent butt cleavage. Gimme a simple tank top to wear under the cardi, and you've got my perfect weekend outfit to run errands in comfort and style!

Say Hi to Thursday: BTS Lingerie Well Played Cardigan & Lounge Pants

Say Hi to Thursday, a special day of the week when there's only one more work day before a glorious weekend awaits. Pretty Little Underthings will showcase a weekend-perfect piece we'd love to wear.

Well Played Cardigan and Lounge Pants by Between The Sheets Lingerie
I got the most delightful surprise in the mail last week: Layla L'obatti of Between The Sheets Lingerie sent me an amazing gift, a cardigan and lounge pants from her Well Played collection, as well as a Come Out and Play camisole (not pictured).

Since it's made of a 88% modal & 12% lycra blend, it keeps a really nice shape. It basically molds to your body and doesn't stretch out more than that. No elastic at the waistband, just a nice little grosgrain ribbon tie, which means no muffin top (yay!). The cardigan is so comfortable and so versatile—I wore it to run errands this weekend, as well as to yoga class, and I could wear this over sleeveless dresses to work.

I don't know how she read my mind—with the temperature dropping below the 30's lately, my apartment has been FREEZING. The thought of wearing my Hanes sweatpants that I've had since college (shameless confession) was just so depressing, but then this little set came my way and saved me!

Ladies, you all need this set. If anything, at least the cardigan—it'll become a staple for your weekend wardrobe. I'll be wearing this all weekend for sure.
