Lust List: A Little Bit O' Lace

I'm currently coveting this wispy little Kiki de Montparnasse lace cami + briefs set. I've had it open in my browser for over a week and keep going back to look at it.

I think in a way it sort of represents what Pretty Little Underthings has been in 2013: sparse in coverage (haha, sorry... kinda), but beautiful nonetheless, and a little complex. Looking forward to welcoming 2014 and all the beautiful lingerie to come in the new year. Cheers!

Looking For Love? Found It.

I feel like La Perla Studio just gets me. I spotted this bra on sale at the UES Journelle location and frantically looked for matching bottoms to complete the set. And while I knew I'd buy this one because the bra fit perfectly, the bottoms just sealed the deal.
This was one of the few non-padded bras I was circulating in rotation during our heat wave a couple of weeks ago, but I have a feeling I might need to get another one as a backup. You know, just in case I want to wear it every day.
La Perla Studio Looking For Love Bra, $95. Looking For Love bottoms in an alternate style, $48. Both available at

All the Pretty Lacy Things

Thanks to Superstorm Sandy, I finally had some time to browse the interwebz for what's new and all the rage in lingerie. Haha, just kidding, lingerie doesn't rage... well, not the kind I seek out anyway. It's more of a classy affair, you know like, champagne and stuff.

Anyway, I was browsing through Lille Boutique's ever-beautiful site, and spotted these two amazing pieces. The lace detailing on the top is exquisite and it's potentially-scandalous sheerness is balanced by the higher-cut neckline. And those shorts? Don't even get me started—you know how I love a good pair of shorts. The black-on-black embroidery detail on these are scream "LOOK AT ME" but in the most delicate, artful way.

I hadn't heard much about Australian brand Shakuhachi (and creator of these beautiful pieces) until now, but I'll be keeping an eye out for more of their collection—especially if they're as amazing as these.

Tempting Tuesdays: Floral Lace All Over, Thanks Agent Provocateur!

Tuesdays will feature a lustworthy lingerie set and a suggested retailer. I think we all need a little something beautiful to at least look at to get us through the week. Hope you love them as much as I do!

Agent Provocateur Sidonie Floral Lace Set

Agent Provocateur makes some of the hottest (by that I mean, amp-ed up sexypants) luxury lingerie on the market, and when I saw this set on, I did a double-take when I saw those bottoms. Holy cannoli, cutout briefs. I've seen cutout high-waisted briefs before, but on regular ol' granny panty style bottoms, seeing cutout bottoms is a first for me. These aren't for your granny. Unless your granny has like, really incredible taste in lingerie.

Floral lace? Check. Super-hot cutout bottoms? Check. A garter that makes the whole ensemble look freaking incredible on your body? Hell to the yes. In fact, I think the garter is what really makes this set look so amazing together. Take a looksee here and here. Convinced now? Kthnxbye.

Sidonie floral-lace underwired bra, $190. Sidonie floral-lace garter belt, $170. Sidonie floral-lace cutout briefs, $170. All available at

What's Ivory and Navy and Lacy All Over?

Okay, maybe not lacy all over, but definitely beautiful all over! I totally fell for these gorgeous sets from Between the Sheets Lingerie's Arabesque collection when I went to visit Layla & Josh during market week.

Between the Sheets Arabesque Microfiber Print Bralette & Bikini
I loved how this set has such a fun, classic print that reminds me of something you'd see on pajamas—but it's also trimmed with velvet, which just totally ups the classiness factor.

Microfiber Print Bralette, $95. Bikini, $85.

Between the Sheets Arabesque Cotton Silk/Lace Bralette & Ouvert Tap Pant
Alright, lingeristas, if you speak French, you know that "ouvert" means "open"...and if you don't speak French, now you know. These tap pants are elegant in the front and a party in the back—but still classy. It's a classy party. I love all the lacy triangular panel details 'cos it bumps the silk silhouette up a notch.

Bralette, $175. Tap pant, $175. Available at

Between the Sheets Arabesque Cotton Silk/Lace Bralette & Ouvert Tap Pant

Yeah, yeah, this is the same set as the above except in navy and not only is this shade of blue so, so beautiful, you can see some of the cut out details better in the tap pant. Recognize.

Tempting Tuesdays: Luxe Lace Because You Can

Tuesdays will feature a lustworthy lingerie set and a suggested retailer. I think we all need a little something beautiful to at least look at to get us through the week. Hope you love them as much as I do!

Luxe Lace by Rosamosario & Deborah Marquit
images via various sources, see polyvore items for details

Soooo yeah, Monday night, I was just doin' my routine scroll through my standby fashion e-tail sites and I did a double take when I saw this black lacy number, because I had done a quick rundown of Net-A-Porter on Saturday and couldn't believe I missed it! And you know what? A piece that fun and pretty deserves a whole outfit. I imagine I'd probably throw on a low-V chemise on underneath as well (like this favorite from The Lake and Stars) since it's prreeeetty see through, but you get the idea. I've blinded you with the glowingly fabulous Deborah Marquit set before, but I thought if you were going to just wear the chemise + bra & undies, then you may as well go with something bright and punchy. Yeah, that's right, punchy.

For details on the other items in the set, visit Polyvore.

Tempting Tuesdays: Lacy Loveliness in a Bodysuit

Tuesdays will feature a lustworthy lingerie set and a suggested retailer. I think we all need a little something beautiful to at least look at to get us through the week. Hope you love them as much as I do!

La Fleur Lace Bodysuit by Kiki de Montparnasse
I scored the Absinthe teddy at an Araks sample sale a couple weeks ago, and I've been wearing it as a bodysuit with trousers, high-waisted jeans, a maxi skirt, anything, everything because it just looks SO AWESOME (if I do say so myself).

So now that you know I've been wearing the same thing over and over, I needed to show you this amaaaaazing lacy bodysuit from Kiki de Montparnasse. Look at the additional photos on Net-a-Porter, particularly this one:
HOW AMAZING IS THAT?! I love that the bodysuit itself is such a lovely neutral color, and the purple lace pattern draws all the attention (well the plunge back does too). There's a zipper back there, in case you were wondering how to get it on. Snaps at the bottom so you can actually pee (did American Apparel learn this yet?), adjustable straps, and soft cups with underwire—the bodysuit trifecta.

Oh, and did I mention how awesomely gorgeous it is?

Hump Day Pick: Swept Asea Set by Samantha Chang

Hellooooo seafooooam! I saw this set in Anthropologie before I saw it on the site (which might be a first), and I immediately melted. It reminded me of this Only Hearts cami that I love (and wear all the time), so no wonder I was so drawn to it. And yes, I will admit that I have looked at it during the subsequent three trips I made to Anthro. Samantha Chang is a new line that Anthropologie picked up this season, and after seeing this set, I'm looking forward to seeing what other beautiful pieces are to come!

Say Hi to Thursday: A Lovely Lacy Romper by Else Lingerie

Say Hi to Thursday, a special day of the week when there's only one more work day before a glorious weekend awaits. Pretty Little Underthings will showcase a weekend-perfect piece we'd love to wear.

Lace Cup Silk Romper by Else Lingerie

So since the theme so far this week has been "lovely," I think this little lace-trimmed romper by Else Lingerie is the perfect, lovely little piece to showcase today. There's elastic at the waist to give you a lovely silhouette, and a deep-V back with criss-cross straps. And if you wanna get a little cheeky in the back, this romper is for you. The style says casual, but the silk demurely purrs, "luxe." Who are you to argue with voices that encourage loveliness?

Silk romper, $175. Available at

An Easy, Gorgeous Vanessa Bruno Set for a Stellar Weekend

Simple, delicate, easy (to take off, haha, just kidding... maybe). I love the way the back of the bra is designed, as a gentle racerback for added comfort. Vanessa Bruno excels at basics with special details for her women's line, and her intimates collection is no exception.

Lace bra, $156. Lace panty, $120. Available at

Underthings Street Style: Peek-Through Lace!

I was quickly browsing through some blogs I follow and these two photos stood out to me because of this lace top post I wrote last month. I love that both ladies are wearing high-waisted bottoms to create a certain silhouette with their slightly flowy lace tops, and the end result is stylish, not skanky. With all the great long-sleeve lace tops out this fall, it's a trend you can still carry into the colder months (just remember to bundle up if you go outside!).
