Fashion Friday: Sunshine Dreams

I haven't posted a Fashion Friday in awhile and I'll admit this one's on a whim. Haven't been feeling well between losing my grandmother this week and what I think is probably food poisoning (sorrryyyy, TMI), but this light, breezy editorial perked me up a bit. I love the shorts and hints of lace here and there—and I'm so, so excited for warmer weather to come.

Fashion Friday: Summertime Editorials Times Two

Harper's Bazaar (UK) and H&M Magazine are as different as can be, but I loved these photos from both editorials so much that I wanted to share both! Claudia Schiffer looks as stunning as ever in these poolside, beachy shots for Harper's Bazaar, and Edita Vilkeviciute and Tomek Szczukiecki make an adorbs carefree summertime, road-tripping couple.

Fashion Friday: A Gorgeous Brazilian Bridal Editorial

I haven't done one of these in a couple of months, but I saw this one last night and instantly knew I had to post it for Fashion Friday. It's such a gorgeous bridal editorial from Vogue Brazil Brides—it has so many different lush textures and the use of light is just stunning. Which one is your favorite?

Fashion Friday: Rag & Bone's Artist Series

Something a little different for you guys and gals this Friday! ELLE had a really interesting post yesterday about one of Rag & Bone's newest art projects, a series of canvases that they commissioned Parsons grad Lana Chun to sketch on. The video below shows her process and the mixed media she uses for these drawings, which was gorgeously shot and edited by my friend Fred Lee.

Lana Chun for Rag & Bone Sp/Su 2011 from Fred Lee on Vimeo.

The subject of the canvases? According to ELLE, "Looks inspired by their SS11 collection—specifically the complicated underpinnings that served as the foundation for their mountain climber meets beach babe collection..." "Complicated underpinnings"??? Hell to the yes!

I'm really stoked about RTW designers bringing out lingerie pieces in their collections, like the Proenza Schouler bra and the Rag & Bone set I recently posted on Facebook, and seeing accompanying art projects like these canvases just feel like the icing on the cake.

Check out Fred's blog & his amazing work.

Fashion Friday: Lingerie is the Best Accessory

I loved this Spring 2011 ad campaign for Polish accessories line Quazi starring Anja Rubik, but I honestly couldn't care less for the accessories. I browsed through the photos before I read the description, and I thought the campaign was for lingerie. I was wrong, but I wanted to share some of the photos I loved.

Fashion Friday: Vintage-Inspired Beauty + Lingerie

Despite my rage with Marie Claire last month, I just had to post these photos from MC US' May 2011 issue. I was so enraptured by the vintage-inspired styling that showed off such gorgeous lingerie, that it took my fourth look over to realize that this was a Beauty section feature! Diana Moldovan looks gorgeous in this editorial, shot by Tesh.

Fashion Friday: Valerie van der Graaf's Pinup-esque Editorial

My taste doesn't normally sway towards pin-up, but this editorial in Glamour Spain caught my eye for it's contemporary take on the style. Valerie van der Graaf's curls are so fun and free, and paired with some red lipstick, she looks fresh but sassy! I loved the fuzzy cropped sweater (helloooo middle school!) with high-waisted bottoms. She's reveling in how beautiful lingerie makes her feel, and damnit—that's how we all should feel.

Fashion Friday: As You Like It

I've been so busy with work this week and fighting a cold, so my apologies for missing posts since Tuesday. But it's Friday, which means some pretty editorials featuring lingerie. A few photos I adored from this week:

Loved these two photos of Toni Garrn from Harper's Bazaar, April 2011. Camilla Akrans can make anything ethereal and gorgeous. Both these sheer dresses amplified my wanderlust and I can't wait for a Californian escape. See the entire gorgeous white photoshoot here: via.

Loved the contrasting photos in this vintage-inspired editorial by Liz Ham in Helmet #2. The entire editorial contrasts playful group shots of the models with stunning, piercing stares of individual models. via.

Last but not least, this stunning shot of Nimue Smit by Sebastian Kim for Numéro #122. Helloooo legs, helloooo fabulous wedges, and HIIIIII bodysuit! Love the belt pairing here. via.

Fashion Friday: Swimwear + Lara Stone!

As if there was a better formula for a summer-themed editorial? I love Lara Stone's editorials and ad campaigns, and this swimwear editorial is even more amazing because she's smiling! Look guys, fashion is fun! Who knew?! Okay, enough with the sarcasm. But really, sometimes when I see some fashion photography, I think "she'd be so much prettier if she was smiling!" and get kind of sad that fashion has to be so serious and curl up into a ball in the corner and sob.

Fine, not really but you get the idea. So when I saw this editorial featuring Lara Stone in some fantastic swimwear for summer, I knew exactly what I was going to post for this week's Fashion Friday. Because let's face it: sometimes, Lara Stone is all you need. (And that pretty Missoni bikini in the first & second  photos).

Fashion Friday: Editorials Love Lingerie

After a rough couple of weeks, I finally had time tonight to scroll through my blog readers and saw a few lingerie-focused photos from various high-fashion editorials that I loved. Hence, Fashion Friday is born. I mean, c'mon—lingerie in editorials AND alliteration? YOU KNOW YOU LOVE IT. Enjoy!
